It is a requirement for property owners to conduct regular Structural Inspections by a registered structural engineer

Why Structural Inspections?
Structural elements are exposed to the risks such as accidental damage, construction defect, time dependent deprivation, extreme loading conditions, inadequate materials or construction methods, lack of maintenance or storm related damage. Therefore, in terms of the OHSAct, it is a requirement for property owners to conduct regular structural inspections by a registered structural engineering professional, we refer to the Construction Regulations, Cl11, pt 2 and we quote:
“An owner of a structure must ensure that:
a) Inspections of structures are carried out periodically by competent persons to render the structure safe for continued use,”
